Tutoring

There are many opportunities at San Francisco State University for receiving additional help with your classwork. You should always check with your department to see if they have any tutoring services or open lab / study areas where you could receive help. There are also several other places on campus where you can receive tutoring for your coursework.

The Learning Assistance Center

Student being tutored

The Learning Assistance Center is located in HSS 348 and includes a host of tutors, faculty and staff members who work with students in one-on-one or small group settings.

At the Learning Assistance Center, SFSU faculty, Graduate Teaching Assistants and trained tutors assist you with assignments for courses across the disciplines and help you develop the skills necessary to succeed in college. Tutoring is available for most subjects. Based on your needs and tutor availability, you can choose between scheduled weekly appointments, scheduled one-time appointments and same day tutoring.
