U.S. History - General Information

All students who plan to receive bacculaureate degrees from San Francisco State University are required by California statute to develop an informed understanding of the historical development of American institutions and ideals. Passing this exam will fulfill this requirement.

Students may fulfill their U.S. History requirements by passing the CLEP Subject Examination in U.S. History I or U.S. History II by receiving a score of 50 or higher. For CLEP test registration and information:
