YOUR ENGLISH PLACEMENT

147 and higher |
You may enroll in ENGLISH 114 (Freshman composition). You may enroll at your freshman orientation.

146 and below |
New freshmen admits for Fall must take a two semester long English composition course, ENG 104, which will be added at orientation.

Non-native speakers of English should also take the CMSPT. To register, visit www.sfsu.edu/~testing.
Non-native speakers of English who are first time freshmen should consult with an advisor at orientation about taking Eng 201 and 202.
