Apple Computers Inc. Apple Inc. offers online educational resources. K-12 Education provides information on software and hardware products, and software tips. Curriculum Connection offers examples of lesson plans. The Apple Higher Learning Interchange is an online community website that offers discussion forums, educational projects, articles on education topics, a searchable database of online resources and lesson plans (when visiting the learning exchange, click on the "resource" button), and more.
Blackboard Inc. Blackboard Inc. offers internet-based creating and hosting of online instruction and classes. Services include Blackboard.com hosting single-course web sites (with a free single-course web site per instructor), Blackboard CourseInfo hosting multiple-course web sites, and Blackboard Campus hosting entire online campuses.
The California Technology Assistance Project (CTAP)

The California Technology Assistance Project (CTAP) is a state-funded educational technology initiative that provides leadership and resources to California schools and school districts. CTAP's websites include a state website and a Region IV website (providing services to the seven counties in the North San Francisco Bay Area: Napa, Marin, Solano, Contra Costa, Alameda, San Francisco, and San Mateo).

The California Instructional Technology Clearinghouse assists California educators to identify and evaluate electronic learning resources. The California Instructional Technology Clearinghouse provides a database of more than 3,700 recommendations about instructional technology resources. The database can be searched using descriptive material or content standards.

Classroom Connect Classroom Connect offers resources to K-12 educators to support the use of technology in classrooms. The Connected Teacher provides K-12 educators with forums to share their ideas and contact colleagues. Resources include message boards and interactive e-mail lists. The Connected Teacher offers tips on using the internet, including: A glossary of over 250 internet and computer related terms; a template for an Acceptable Use Policy for bringing the internet to your school; a guide to citing internet sources including graphics, sounds, and video clips; and tips for searching the internet including an overview and search strategy suggestions.
The Global Schoolhouse

The Global Schoolhouse provides resources for using the internet in classrooms including: a directory of search engines and searchable databases, an introduction to searching the internet, a tutorial on using the World Wide Web as a tool for student-centered project-based learning activities, articles about the impact of network-based learning, and discussion lists.

ImindEducation Systems, Inc. ImindEducation Systems, Inc. offers interactive learning, database, and classroom management tools.
Knowledge Adventure Knowledge Adventure offers several free services, including Educast, a software program that delivers lesson plans, education news, and internet resources via the Internet (note: a banner ad is displayed in the browser window). Knowledge Adventure also supports a site called letsfindout.com, which offers a free Encyclopedia, intended for K-12 students.
Mediaseek Mediaseek offers Explorasource, a free online searchable database that contains listings of educational materials such as web sites, audio cassettes, video tapes, and other media from education publishers and content providers. Content standards can be applied to the search criteria, resulting in listings that satisfy current content standards.
NASA The NASA GSFC Earth Science Distributed Active Archive Center offers educational CD-ROMS. (Note: this is a government organization).
The SchoolTone Alliance The SchoolTone Alliance is a partnership of education service providers who offer web-based portals (providing packages of Internet content, software applications, and communication tools).
