A Center of Sustainability

Graduate Programs

Masters of Business Administration, Emphasis in Sustainable Business

This MBA program allows students to focus on topics environmental leadership, corporate social responsibility and managing a sustainable business.

 

Master of Arts in Geography

Concentration in Resource Management & Environmental Planning

 

Master of Science in Biology

Programs include foci on Conservation Biology and Ecology and Systematic Biology.

Department of Geography

The Department of Geography has a long history at SF State. Among other areas, it offers concentrations in Environmental Studies, Landuse Planning, and Resource Management.

 

Urban Studies Program

The Urban Studies Program offers courses in Sustainable Development, Environmental Justice, and Urban Transportation.

 

Opportunities for Student Involvement 

SF State faculty and staff work on a wide variety of projects available pertinent to the local campus as well as the great Bay Area community. As a student you can choose to focus papers on sustainability-related topics. You may also aid in SF State projects or get involved with student-lead initiatives.

 

Research

Courses at the Romberg Tiburon Center for Environmental Studies

The Romberg Tiburon Center is the marine and estuarine research facility and education campus for San Francisco State University. Much of its research focuses on understanding the natural forces at work in the San Francisco Bay and its surrounding wetland environments.
