Passport to Study Abroad!

STEP 1.

Attend a Study Abroad Information Meeting!

  • These meetings are held in Administration Building Room 450

  • YOU ONLY NEED TO ATTEND ONE OF THESE MEETINGS!

  • Check Calendar Events on the right for times!

STEP 2.

Get involved with the
International Education Exchange Council
!

  • Find out more about getting involved at the Information Meeting.

  • Meet program alumni and international exchange students from the host universities!

  • Make yourself more a more competitive applicant!

  • Get the inside scoop on programs from students who have studied there!

 

STEP 3.

Research the programs recommended to you at the Information Meeting.

  • Check-out the websites of the host universities.

  • Visit the Study Abroad Resource library in ADM 450 and look through the country specifc boxes.

  • Read the Student Experience Reports.

  • Review eligibility prerequisite and GPA requirements.

  • Make a list of the degree requirements you have yet to complete (major, minor, GE) and compare that to the course offerings at the host universities the study abroad advisor has recommended to you.

  • Take this list and comparison when you meet with an academic advisor in your major, minor or general education area.

  • Meet with Financial Aid advisor, Robert Chang (Student Services Building, 338-6091).

  • After reading through the ALL OF THE MATERIALS, (including everything on this website!) and you have unanswered questions, feel free to make an appointment with a study abroad advisor by calling 338-1293.



STEP 4.


Attend An Application Workshop!

Once you have attended the Information Meeting and researched your program, you are welcome to come to an Application Workshop or call 338-1293 to make an appointment to see Kati Bell to pick up an application!

  • Check Calendar Events on the right for times!

  • Make the meeting on time. The meeting generally takes 30 minutes.
    You will receive the handouts and tips you will need to complete the application.

 

STEP 5.

Work on Application!

  • APPLICANT GUIDE - PRINT THIS and keep with you as you work on the application! A MUST HAVE for any applicant! This guide covers FAQs, tips and interview preparation!
  • Check Forms & Handouts on the left for these guides!
  • Fill out the application thoroughly and according to instructions and submit in person to a study abroad advisor before deadline date.
