An Overview of SFSU Bilateral Exchange Programs |

Bilateral Exchanges are official academic programs of San Francisco State University. Students can continue their education and earn credit toward their degrees while studying at one of SFSU's associate universities overseas. Bilateral Programs differ from CSU International Programs in two ways:
1) they are open only to San Francisco State University students, or students attending SFSU on the inter-campus visitor's program.
2) one or two semesters in length, while the CSU IP programs are ALL academic year in length.
Bilateral Exchanges offer these special features:
- No overseas tuition or administrative costs are charged; students pay only regular SFSU campus fees.
- Students are enrolled for a full academic year (or a semester, in some cases) at a host university and earn resident credit for their coursework.
- All campus financial aid (except work study) is applicable overseas.
- On-site assistance by a host university and/or staff.
