Students are
encouraged to consider completion of the Speech-Language Services Credential
in Speech-Language, or in Speech-Language with Special Class Authorization.
See separate Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential requirements
and admission pre-requisites.
CD seminars
are offered fall or spring semesters. During summer semesters, few slots
may be available for the CD Clinics. Other courses generally offered during
the summer include: ISED 797; SPED 788; and SPED 801. Students complete
SPED 788 and SPED 801 to satisfy the requirements for the Clinical Rehabilitative
Services Credential (check pre-requisite credential requirements). SPED
courses may be taken as an undergraduate during the senior year.
Minimum clinical practicum requirements may not result in sufficient clock
hours to meet requirements of the American Speech, Language, Hearing Association's
Certificate of Clinical Competence, in which case additional practicum
units are required.
