Welcome

The Department of Special Education at San Francisco State University offers master’s degrees, teaching and clinical rehabilitative services credentials in Special Education and Communicative Disorders. It has pioneered many of the programs and services for individuals with disabilities.

Programs are designed for students who desire to enter educational and human services professions. Students are prepared for teaching in public or private schools, for agency work in the community and for positions in clinical settings across a range of disabilities and services.
