Hoja de Información para el fogueo

El fogueo es una entrevista para evaluar la preparación del estudiante para los exámenes de maestría.  En el fogueo, cubrimos los siguientes puntos:

1. Is the student familiar with basic literary anthologies, histories and other reference materials?

2. Does the student understand the basic terminology of Spanish metrics?

3. Is the student in command of essential critical terms?

4. Is the student familiar with the principal periods and movements of Spanish and Latin American literatures?

5. Can the student name at least one representative work from each of these important periods?

6. When asked to speak very briefly about one of the works on the MA Reading List, what work was chosen?

7. In what areas does the student appear weak?

8. In what areas does the student appear very well prepared?

9. A brief summary of the Committee’s recommendation, particularly if the student is not advised to take the exam as proposed.
