Biography
Andie Thrams’ illuminated field journals and paintings reveal a lifelong meditation on the natural world, especially the wild forests of the west.
Her work is exhibited and collected nationally and her botanical images have appeared on cards and prints published by Larkspur Graphics for many years. She has taught for the Yosemite Association and the Oakland Museum, which exhibited her illuminated field journals and paintings. She was artist-in-residence in Glacier National Park in 2000, and was in residency at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology in 2004
Thrams (BA in art, UC Berkeley) teaches field seminars throughout the west and maintains a studio in the foothills of the Sierra, near the south fork of the American River.
