How to Join a Greek Organization
Most Greek organizations recruit through a new member recruitment process at the beginning of each semester. This period includes a sequence of events that sometimes includes a mixer, social events, a professional event, community service, and alumni panels sponsored by a fraternity or sorority for prospective members prior to offering a bid to a potential new member. The recruitment/intake process gives perspective members a chance to learn more about the chapters on campus, and also gives the opportunity to meet some of the men and women in each chapter. Through these recruitment/intake processes you and the prospective Greek chapters will choose which organization is best for you.
Although most chapters host recruitment at the beginning of the semester, some chapters conduct membership “intake” at various times throughout the year.
