Recent SF State Alumni

Recent SF State alumni have a six (6) month grace period following graduation, without charge, to use Student Involvement & Career Center services.

After the six month grace period, alumni must either join the Alumni Association or obtain Student Involvement & Career Center Membership to continue utilizing basic career services.

Alumni Association Membership & Student Involvement & Career Center Membership

Alumni Association Membership

Members of the SF State Alumni Association automatically receive a Student Involvement & Career Center Membership (a $25.00 value).

Any SF State alumni may join the SF State Alumni Association. In addition to Student Involvement & Career Center services, there are many additional benefits.

Student Involvement & Career Center Membership

Alumni of SF State who are not a member of the SF State Alumni Association may utilize basic Student Involvement & Career Center services by obtaining Student Involvement & Career Center Membership. The cost of this membership is $25 annually an can be purchased at the Bursar window in the One Stop area of the Student Services Building.

Benefits of Membership

Both Alumni Association and Student Involvement & Career Center membership include access to the following basic career services.

  • Enterprise Computer Lab
  • Job listing binders
  • Career resource library
  • Workshops
  • Career fairs and events
  • Access to job postings on GatorJOBS

Neither Alumni Association membership nor Student Involvement & Career Center membership include participation in the On-Campus Interviewing Program or personal Career Counseling appointments.

Non-SF State Alumni & Students

Being that the SF State Student Involvement & Career Center is a student service, Student Involvement & Career Center services are not available to the non-SF State community. Alumni of non-SF State educational institutions, students from the College of Extended Learning and American Language Institute, as well as members of the community are not eligible to access SF State Student Involvement & Career Center Services.

Alumni of Other CSU Campuses

Alumni from other CSU campuses are not eligible for Student Involvement & Career Center services.

Students of Other CSU Campuses

Currently enrolled students from CSUs other than SF State are eligible for Student Involvement & Career Center services and do not need to purchase a Membership. Such students must present both of the following:

  1. Letter of reciprocity from their institution's career center
  2. Valid (current) student ID
