Smoking Cessation Clinic

The Smoking Cessation Clinic is available free at the Student Health Service to assist students trying to quit smoking. During one-on-one sessions, students will learn about their smoking habit, the best way to quit smoking for them, and to participate in the quitting process. Students meet with a health educator for half-hour sessions for a period of approximately six weeks. During this time students will examine their habit, identify triggers, practice quitting, quit “cold turkey,” or use stop-smoking aids, to begin the process of becoming a nonsmoker. These sessions will close with a focus on long-term maintenance.
