Goals and Objectives

Goal 1: To respond to the acute medical and nursing needs of the student community

Objectives:

  • To provide high quality outpatient medical services for the care of acute and subacute conditions, illnesses and injuries to all regularly enrolled California State University (CSU) students in a timely manner, as mandated by the CSU Policy of the Board of Trustees on Student Health Services E.O. 943 (herein after called the Trustee's Policy)
  • To provide contraceptive, gynecological, and sexually transmitted infection (STI) diagnostic and treatment services to students as mandated by the Trustee's Policy.
  • To provide programs for the prevention and control of communicable diseases.
  • To provide health assessment for early detection and prevention of disease and disability

Goal 2: Health Outcomes

Objective:

  • To encourage communication with students, promotes health access and minimize disparities in health outcomes for all students including international students, those living in the residence halls, and others with special health needs.

Goal 3: To provide additional health services without diverting staff or resources from the provision of basic health services for students.

Objectives:

  • To provide provide limited environmental health and safety and employee health services to San Francisco State University employees identified by Environmental Health and Occupational Safety (EHOS).
  • To provide first aid services to all sick or injured person on the campus during clinic hours.
  • To offer generic medical advice to faculty, staff , and administrators to facilitate health and safety.
