Ira Cooperman (B.A., '62) was invited
to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point to speak to cadets
about his experiences as an Air Force Intelligence officer during
the Vietnam War.
San Francisco Supervisor Tom Ammiano (M.A.,
'65) received the Vanguard Award at the 25th Anniversary
Gala Celebration of the New Conservatory Theatre Center, a performing
arts center founded by SF State alumnus Ed Decker.
California-based artist, curator and writer Amalia Mesa-Bains
(M.A., '66; M.A., '71) was named a Visionary Woman Awardee
by Moore College of Art and Design.
John Thomson (B.A., '67) has been appointed
executive director of the Chicago office of the Shanghai-based
Chicago China Development, a corporation that helps Chinese companies
expand into the U.S. and assists Chicago companies in China.

Cox (B.A., '67) is the owner of Hayward College
of Cosmetology and Valley College of Cosmetology in Castro Valley.
