New Course Examines the Holocaust
in Postwar Germany

The complete set of original transcripts from the first Nuremberg trial, donated to SFSU last spring, will serve as an integral part of German 617/817: "The Holocaust and its Aftermath in Postwar Germany," a new course offered to both undergraduate and graduate students this fall. Taught by Professor Volker Langbehn, an expert in 18th- and 20th-century German literature, the course will examine the Holocaust’s legacy in postwar Germany through careful study of translated excerpts from the transcripts, as well as works of art, literature and film.
