SAN FRANCISCO STATE UNIVERSITY

RESOLUTION RESCINDING POLICY ON FACULTY MERIT INCREASE AND FACULTY ACTIVITY REPORT

WHEREAS the faculty of the CSU have recently approved the new Collective Bargaining Agreement that terminates the previous Faculty Merit Increase (FMI) program and all related language, including the requirement to file a Faculty Activity Report (FAR); and

WHEREAS the Board of Trustees of the CSU is expected to ratify the new Collective Bargaining Agreement; therefore be it

RESOLVED that the Academic Senate, San Francisco State University, hereby rescind its policy on FMI (#F99-208) and its resolution amending the date for filing the FAR in Spring 2002 (#RS02-189); and be it further

RESOLVED that the Academic Senate, San Francisco State University, request that, immediately upon ratification of the Collective Bargaining Agreement by the Board of Trustees, the Dean of Faculty Affairs formally notify all faculty about the termination of the FMI program and the elimination of the requirement to file the FAR.
