POLICY FOR FACULTY DEVELOPMENT WEEK

ACADEMIC SENATE POLICY F78-40

At its meeting of December 12, 1978, the Academic Senate approved the following policy for a Faculty Development Week:

Except for the possibility of a General Faculty Meeting, Faculty Development Week shall be devoted to matters focusing on teaching, research and/or curricular development. Faculty members, individually or in groups, shall be expected to file their developmental plans with their department chairs. Faculty members of departments or programs may decide to use all or part of the week to explore matters of curricular change or pedagogical development and will be expected to participate in Faculty Development Week.
