What are the Academic Senate and standing committee meeting schedules?
The meeting schedule for both bodies can be found on the on the Current Semester page. The Academic Senate and standing committees meet alternately on Tuesdays from 2:00pm-4:00pm.
When are agendas delivered?
Academic Senate agendas are usually available online the Thursday prior to the meeting. Hard copies are usually distributed no later than the Friday before.
What if I have materials that I would like distributed/delivered for a standing committee meeting?
Any material that is not directly included in the agenda by a Standing committee chair must be delivered a week before the meeting in order to have it approved by the committee chair and delivered via e-mail. An electronic copy sent to senate@sfsu.edu is preferred.
What if I have materials that need to be included in the Academic Senate agenda?
If you have material for the Academic Senate agenda, we must have it in our hands by 10:00am the Wednesday prior to the senate meeting. This is a hard deadline due to the time it takes to get all agendas printed and distributed.
Are there electronic resources available?
Yes, they are here on our Web site. Here you will find Academic Senate policies, resolutions, the Faculty Constitution, committee charges, Academic Senate meeting agendas, and minutes. We also try to include the latest updates on Senate activities, e.g., drafts of policies that are being revised, Senate News, and other links/information we feel you should know about.
