STUDY ABROAD

SFSU SUMMER PROGRAM IN ST. PETERSBURG

The Summer Program in St. Petersburg at the Russian State Meteorological Institute has been organized every year since 1992.

THE PROGRAM:

Choice of 4, 6, or 8 week tracks
20 hours per week class instruction
Excursions to points of interest in the city with professional guides.
St. Petersburg is rich in museums, architecture and history. There are two excursions per week.
For advanced students, lectures can be arranged on Russian Literature, Political Science, and topics in Russian Culture, Religious Heritage, Art, and History.

ACCOMODATIONS:

Students stay with local families. The students will be constantly forced to put their acquired language skills into use. It will also give the stuents a chance to see and experience Russian life at first hand and meet Russian people up close.
Arrangements for staying at a hotel or private apartment may be made, but the cost will be considerably higher.

FEES:

Since the program has a fixed cost component, participation fees depend on the number of students in the group. An estimate for the current year is available as soon as we have an idea as to how many students are interested in the program. In the meantime, we can give you an approximate idea on the cost, based on last year's calculations.
