prospective and continuing graduate students interested in the dynamic
and exciting field of recreation, parks and tourism studies.
Our
program is located within one of the most renowned, eco-friendly, culturally
diverse urban centers in the USA, surrounded by a large national park
and marine preserve, redwood forests and home to rich cultural resources.
These offer a fantastic "living laboratory" for students, a myriad of
job opportunities and a wonderful place to live.
Since 1946 our flexible G raduate
Program has been helping students move up in their careers, securing professional
positions in our field, assisting our diverse communities and advancing
the state of knowledge in our profession.
We
encourage prospective students to look over materials in this website
and then contact our department, or our graduate program coordinator,
Dr. Patrick Tierney, for questions or to apply
for admission.
