elcome prospective and continuing students interested in the dynamic and exciting field of recreation, parks and tourism studies.

Our department is located within one of the most renowned urban centers in the world and surrounded by scenic coastlines, redwood forests and diverse cultural resources. These offer a fantastic "living laboratory" for students interested in this field, a myriad of job opportunities, as well as a wonderful place to live.

Since 1946 our flexible Graduate Program has been helping students move up in their careers, securing professional positions in our field, assisting our diverse communities and advancing the state of knowledge in our profession.

We encourage prospective students to look over materials in this website and then contact our department, or our graduate program coordinator, Dr. Patrick Tierney, for questions or to apply for admission.

For continuing students we provide links to updated information on deadlines, schedules, news and courses, so regularly check this site.
