THE BILINGUAL/CROSS-CULTURAL SPECIALIST CREDENTIAL
This is a specialist credential being offered jointly by the School of Education and the Departments of La Raza Studies and Asian American Studies for the training of specialists to work as classroom teachers or resource persons in bilingual programs. Coursework taken through La Raza Studies and Asian American Studies is specifically designed to assist the teacher in gaining further understanding of the bilingual/ multicultural process in education. Coursework taken from the School of Education is designed specifically to assist the teacher in developing educational material for use in bilingual classrooms.
