Mission Statement

LA UNIDAD LATINA FOUNDATION, INC., a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization established in 1999, exists to:

  • Award scholarship grants to worthy and needy students for the pursuit of higher education.
  • Support and encourage participation in educational programs and activities.
  • Support community programs which aid in the civic empowerment and educational improvement of the Latino community.

General Information:

  • Scholarships are available on a competitive basis to undergraduate four-year college, and graduate students of Hispanic background.
  • Educational scholarships range from $250 to $1000.
Application Criteria:
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.70
  • Official academic transcript(s) required
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited four-year college or university
  • Completed at least one college semester

Academic excellence, extracurricular activities, and financial need are strongly considered.

Application Requirements:
  • Applications are only accepted within 45 days prior to the deadline.
    • As of January 1st for the February 15th deadline, and September 1st for the October 15th deadline.
  • Applications must be recieved by the deadline.

Submitted applications that do not fit the criteria or meet the requirements will be automatically rejected.
