The IT Web Committee is charged with providing planning, policy and priority recommendations and setting future direction for SFSU's Web presence. It is further charged with examining strategies for making the most effective use of the Web, focusing on innovation, currency of applications and user satisfaction.
The committee will:
- Examine issues that affect the content, design, organization,
and technical aspects of SFSU's home page and its links
- Recommend policies and strategies for addressing those issues
Web issues and concerns identified so far
- Revise the University Web site to make it more accessible to the uninitiated
- Maintain Web site currency across the campus
- Review Web policies and procedures
- Develop a campus Web calendar
- Coordinate Web information for improved access
- Schedule regular reviews of campus Web pages.
- Establish baseline standards for departmental Web content
- Make sure information across department Web sites is consistent
- Explore and implement a portal for students, faculty and staff
