Mary Park Hall was named after a beloved custodial employee who retired many years ago. Its sister residence hall honors Mary Ward, a former dean of women, revered in the 1920s as the "first woman of San Francisco State." Together, these two residence halls provide safe, convenient housing for more than 800 freshmen and sophomores.

Meals are served in the Dining Center, across from Mary Ward Hall. Residents may also grab a quick bite in Mary Park's snack bar, Cafe in the Park, or choose among various restaurants in the Cesar Chavez Student Center. Each room comes with free cable TV and high-speed Internet hook-ups, and a personal phone line for each roommate. To view a model room, stop by the Housing Office in Mary Ward Hall.
