Arts, Culture and Creativity
Each year, SF State sponsors hundreds of workshops, lectures, conferences, exhibits, debates, forums, and other public programs at little or no cost.
In addition, thousands attend public performaces produced or sponsered by the College of Creative Arts: faculty and student recitals, the renowned Morrison Artists' Series Chamber Music Program, contemporary drama and musical productions, dance featuring professional companies and advanced students, and film programs. In recent years our artist-in-residence programs have brought to campus such esteemed performers as saxophonist Branford Marsalis. The world renowned Alexander String Quartet is the official qartet-in-residence at SF State.
