Spring 2009 admission
UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS: SF State will begin accepting applications for the Spring 2009 semester on August 1, 2008. The application deadline will be September 1, 2008.
GRADUATE STUDENTS: Spring 2009 applications for graduate programs will be accepted beginning August 1 and are due by November 1. However, certain graduate programs have earlier deadlines and require an additional application. For details, visit: www.sfsu.edu/~gradstdy or call the Division of Graduate Studies at (415) 338-2234.
Fall 2009 admission
UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS: SF State will begin accepting undergraduate applications for Fall 2009 from freshmen and upper division transfers with at least 60 transferable units on October 1, 2008. Prospective students apply online at www.csumentor.edu to receive an admissions decision more quickly. Because Fall 2009 admission application deadlines have not been established undergraduate applicants should plan to complete their applications by November 30, 2008, the priority filing deadline.
GRADUATE STUDENTS: SF State will begin accepting applications for graduate degrees on October 1, 2008. The application deadline is May 1, 2008, although individual departments and programs frequently have earlier application deadlines. Applying to Graduate Studies is a two-part process. Apply online to the Division of Graduate Studies. You must also apply separately to your program. Check the Graduate Studies Web site for application deadline dates and contact information for specific programs.
Apply for campus housing
Prospective students should apply as soon as possible for campus housing in
Mary Ward Hall, Mary Park Hall, the Science and Technology Theme Community,
and the Village and Towers at Centennial Square. Students are strongly encouraged
to apply early, as housing space is limited. Check out SF State's many campus
housing options.
Take a tour of SF State
Our fun and informative walking tours are a great way for prospective
students and their families
to get to know our campus. Lasting less than an hour, the tour takes
visitors to major buildings
and facilities on the University's park-like campus, located in the
southwest corner of San Francisco near Lake Merced.
Tours are led by SF State student guides who share their own experiences
adjusting to university life
and offer tips to help incoming students get the most out of their SF
State education.

at least two weeks before your visit.
Visitors who come to campus on days when tours are not offered are
