SF State students come in all ages and from all over the world. Some are making the move from high school to freshman year of college. Others are transferring from another college in the Bay Area or coming to SF State as international or graduate students. We offer a variety of opportunities for special admissions and enrollment to accommodate students with different needs, goals and backgrounds. Those who have been away from the classroom for a while will want to check out our continuing education offerings and our programs for mature learners. We offer a huge selection of academic options: bachelor's degree in 113 areas of specialization and master's degrees in 96 areas. Jointly with other institutions, we offer three doctorates -- a Ph.D. and Ed.D. in education, with a concentration in special education, and a doctor of physical therapy science (DPTSci) and one master of science, in physical therapy. We also offer 27 credential programs and 34 certificate programs. This section can help you navigate the admissions process. Whether you're seeking an undergraduate or graduate degree, professional development training through the College of Extended Learning, or just a single class, San Francisco State has a lot to offer you.
