Initiative's Mission
The Persian Cultural Heritage Studies Initiative (PCHS) is a Bay Area resource for understanding, studying, and appreciating Iranian Cultural Heritage belonging to a diverse ethnic collection of Azeris, Kurds, Lors, Baluchis, Armenians, Assyrians, Afghans, Tajiks, and many others. This Initiative allows students and faculties to explore Iranian languages, literature, music, arts, and culture in all its manifestations. It exposes students to a broadly defined vision that spans and includes the diverse geographic and linguistic landscape of both historic and also modern Iranian culture. The primary goal of the Initiative is its dedication to highlight the rich repository that Iranian culture offers the modern world.
