It is the end of the year and once again OSPLD will be cleaning out and organizing the student organization mailroom over the summer. Please come and get all of the mail from your student organization mail box by the end of Monday, June 22nd, 2009. After June 22nd, all mail still in your mailbox will be returned to the sender.

Call for Programs: Fall 2009 Leadership in Action
The fall 2009 Leadership in Action program will begin with the 2nd Annual Leadership Symposium held on Saturday, September 12, and then continue throughout the semester with a weekly workshop series. This Call for Programs is for both the Leadership Symposium and the workshop series.
Program presentations are critical to the success of the Leadership in Action program. Faculty, staff and seasoned student leaders are encouraged to submit program proposals representing interests and concerns of student leaders on the SF State campus. All topics and ideas are welcome and encouraged. All program proposals submitted prior to Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. will be given first priority. Proposals will be accepted after this deadline on an as needed basis. To submit a proposal, please the online form at http://www.sfsu.edu/~ospld/leadership/call/fall09.htm.
Call for Performers: Welcome Days Student Organization Show
Welcome Days will host the Third Annual Student Organization Show. This is your organization's opportunity to showcase your performance talents to the incoming students and their families. The show will occur on Thursday, August 20, from 8 PM - 10 PM in McKenna Hall. Congratulations Leadership in Action Award Winners
OSPLD and University Housing host the annual Leadership in Action Awards to recognize the outstanding service that student leaders, organizations and faculty/staff advisors provide to the SF State and larger communities. The Award recipients were announced at the Leadership in Action Awards ceremony held on Thursday, April 23, 2009, and the complete list of Award recipients can now be viewed at http://www.sfsu.edu/~ospld/leadership/award09.htm.
Save the Date: Fall 2009 Leadership Symposium will be on September 12, 2009
The 2nd Annual Leadership Symposium will be held on September 12, 2009. This event is an opportunity for SF State leaders to connect with each other, build partnerships and develop leadership skills. This event is a campus-wide conference style program open to all SF State students regardless of any prior leadership experience. The day will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. in Jack Adams Hall (located on the Terrace Level of the Cesar Chavez Student Center) and conclude at 3:30 p.m.
As a reminder, all student organizations seeking University recognition are required to send at least one representative to this event. It is recommended that the president and financial officer attend, but any officer or member can attend to meet the requirement.
Registration for the Leadership Symposium will open on August 1, 2009. Information about the online registration process will be made available at http://www.sfsu.edu/~ospld/leadership/symposium.htm at that time.
