Welcome

Student organizations are at the center of activity at San Francisco State University, providing events, educational programs and service to the campus and local community. The Office of Student Programs and Leadership Development welcomes students at SF State to get involved in student life on campus through the over 200 student organizations registered each academic year.

Purpose

The Office of Student Programs and Leadership Development (OSPLD) is one of several departments within the Division of Student Affairs at San Francisco State University (SF State). Serving as the center of student organization activity, OSPLD registers all SF State recognized student organizations. OSPLD trains student leaders and advises students regarding event planning, University policy, fundraising, recruitment and retention of members. Through collaboration with various University departments and community programs, OSPLD strives to best advocate for and assist students in achieving academic and co-curricular success. OSPLD services and programs facilitate experiential learning and student empowerment, developing strong leaders and conscientious citizens within SF State’s diverse community.
