Oral Communications Requirement

SPCH 150
(public speaking)

Advisor Tip:

  • Some of your classes in the Behavioral and Social Sciences will require you to give oral presentations, either in a group or individually.
  • Since the class size is small, you will get to know your classmates well. It is a good class to make friends with others who are new at SFSU.
  • If you are suffering from stagefright, practice your speeches in front of a mirror or a group of your friends or family. Be sure to prepare way ahead of time to allow plenty of time to practice!
  • Hint: As a first time Freshman, you will have priority registration for this high demand class. Be sure to take it early!
