The SF State international exchange student orientation is a 5-day program mandated by the US government according to the J-1 visa requirements. Students are REQUIRED to attend each day of the orientation.
In addition to the panels and presentations conducted by the Office of International Programs, the orientation is an opportunity for international students to meet American students at SF State and explore San Francisco through the IEEC buddy program and IEEC social events.
Specific questions regarding the orientation week should be directed to Dr. Marilyn Jackson, Assistant Director of the Office of International Programs.
