OIP On-Line

OIP maintains a home page on the World Wide Web (WWW) with important information for the international student and scholar community at SFSU. Detailed information about all OIP-sponsored activities and events and a complete listing of all OIP-sponsored workshops for the current semester can also be found on our homepage.

Also included are links to other useful web sites concerning U.S. government-related sites (The Embassy Page, DHS, USIA, IRS, and links to U.S. embassies and consulates around the world).  You can access the OIP home page on the WWW by pointing your favorite WWW browser to the following address: http://www.sfsu.edu/~oip

HOW TO SUBSCRIBE TO OUR MAILING LIST

If you have any friends who may be interested in receiving this information (approximately once each week during the academic year), please ask them to send an e-mail message to:  <majordomo@sfsu.edu> with the following command in the "text" section of their message: <subscribe oipnews>.  Leave the subject line of your message empty and do not include and other line in the "text" section of your message (such as your signature). Likewise, if you do not want to be a part of our mailing list, please contact us and we will remove your address from our mailing list.

OIPNEWS ARCHIVES

All "OIPNEWS Weekly Update" messages are automatically archived each week. To access a copy of a previous OIPNEWS Weekly Update message, please visit the OIP web site at:  http://www.sfsu.edu/%7Eoip/OIP%20Archives.htm

This feature is especially useful when you may be traveling during the Winter or Summer break or at other times when you may not have regular access to your e-mail account.  Upon your return, you can simply access the OIPNEWS archive files and read all of the "Weekly Update" messages that were posted to the list while you were away.  In this manner, you'll never miss an important message that may have been posted to the list while you were gone!
