Voluntary, Confidential and Impartial Mediation Process

    1. Confidentiality: All information gathered and transpired during a mediation process remains confidential. No evidence can be disclosed without the expressed consent of the parties. The parties including the mediator are also expected to honor the confidentiality code.
    2. Voluntary participation: All parties must participate in mediation by their own volition.
    3. The mediator is a third-party who functions as a neutral party to facilitate the resolution of issues. Unlike arbitration, the mediator does not have the power to adjudicate a decision; but, the mediator aims at facilitating the parties to arrive at a mutually agreed upon process or outcome for resolution. Depending on the mediation approach, the outcome may be full resolution or transformative resolution.
    4. The mediation aims at being fair, impartial and free of reprisal.
