Creative & Scholarly Excellence -- Students
Presidential Scholars at SF State have academic and personal accomplishments that set them apart from their peers. Incoming freshmen are competitively selected for this scholarship and enrichment program. They are supported with tuition fees, aid for textbooks and supplies, and priority course registration.

Student Academy Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences: Phoebe Tooke, graduate student, for "Circles of Confusion." 2008
Panetta Congressional Internship Program: Marc Joseph Wirtz, business major, interned with Republican Rep. Dan Lungren. 2009
National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship: Genevieve Walden, biology graduate student. 2009
