The Presidents Task Force on Inter-group Relations: Initial Focus on the Effect of Middle East Issues on Campus Life is soliciting input from all members of the community regarding concerns or ideas as they pertain to the work of the Task Force. The Task Force's charge is available online.
San Francisco State University President Robert A. Corrigan commissioned the 41-member task force to examine inter-group relations and advise the University on immediate and long-term strategies for improving the campus climate, particularly regarding the concerns of the Jewish and Palestinian communities. The Task Force is comprised of University faculty, staff and students as well as community, civic and religious leaders.
Individuals can share suggestions and concerns with the Task Force through written letters [addressed to Task Force - Lakeview Center, Room 118 - San Francisco State University - 1600 Holloway Avenue - San Francisco, CA 94132], e-mail to email@example.com, or by attending one of the nine upcoming "listening group" sessions in the Student Services Building.
At each listening group session, Task Force members will hear reports from as many individuals as time will allow. Individuals will be heard on a first-come, first-served basis. Each meeting is confidential and each individual will meet privately with the Task Group listening group. The meetings are not open for the public to sit and observe.
Task Force members will submit their notes regarding each individual's comments; however, the Task Force will not convey the identification of the speaker in any report.
All interested parties are encouraged to attend.
Listening group sessions will be held in Student Services Building Room 401.
