The SFSU community and friends are invited to contribute to a fund to benefit the family of a San Francisco State employee, whose son-in-law was killed in the World Trade Center on Sept. 11.

The fund will benefit Evan vanDommelen Gonzalez, and her daughter, Nina, 1, of New York City. Evan's husband and Nina's father, Mauricio Gonzalez, was a carpenter who was working in the World Trade Center the morning of the attacks. A memorial service for him was held Sept. 29 in New York.

Evan vanDommelen Gonzalez is the daughter of Deborah vanDommelen, director of the Learning Assistance Center at San Francisco State and a longtime SFSU employee.

Checks should be made payable to Karen Wiederholt, a lecturer in English and tutor coodinator at the Learning Assistance Center. Checks should be dropped off at her mailbox in the Humanities Building, room 125, or left at the Learning Assistance Center, HSS 222.

Checks also may be mailed to the Wiederholt home at 3630 18th St., San Francisco, CA 94110. All funds and donors' names will be given to Evan vanDommelen Gonzalez.
