SAN FRANCISCO STATE FORWARDS SIX CASES TO SF DISTRICT ATTORNEY FOLLOWING MAY 7 RALLY
Three students representing both sides of the Pro-Palestine/Pro-Israel conflict are being charged with six incidents

May 22, 2002 -- SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- San Francisco State University's Police will be meeting with San Francisco District Attorney Sam Totah at 10 a.m., on Thursday, May 23 to forward six cases involving three San Francisco State University students following events at a May 7 campus rally. The students involved represent both sides of the Pro-Palestine Pro-Israel conflict.

All cases that will be reviewed by the District Attorney involve an allegation of a hate crime (422.6 PC). In addition, one of the cases also alleges vandalism, and the other two allege disturbing the peace.

One of the students whose case is now being referred to the District Attorney has already completed the student discipline process and was suspended as of Tuesday, May 21. The other two students involved will also be referred to on-campus student discipline.

Additional cases involving other students are pending positive identification and may be forwarded both to the District Attorney and student discipline.
