Time for Remembrance and Healing
9 a.m to 6 p.m., Memorial Grove (the grove of trees between the Student Center and the Gym)

Sponsor: Counseling and Psychological Services

The Memorial Grove is available to the campus community throughout the day as a sanctuary for remembrance, reflection and healing. Individuals will have the opportunity to offer personal messages in writing, through song and music (bring your acoustic instrument), or through quiet meditation. Counselors from Counseling and Psychological Services and other Student Affairs professionals will be on hand.

“September 11: One Year Later”
2 p.m., Science 270

Sponsor: History Department

A forum with six professors and experts in history, Jewish Studies and Islamic Studies. Each panelist will make opening comments for about 10 minutes on how the United States has changed since Sept. 11, 2001 regarding international politics, security, the Middle East and other topics. Following those comments, the professors will take questions from the audience.

The forum will include SFSU professors Maziar Behrooz, Jerry Combs, Anthony D'Agostino, Chris Jackson, Jules Tygiel and Fred Astren.
