Here, she is pictured with SFSU President Robert A. Corrigan, immediately following S.F. State's commencement ceremony Saturday, May 27. Every year one of the top students from each college is chosen to represent the college onstage during the ceremony and to receive a special hood on behalf of all of the students graduating from that college. L aurent earned her bachelor's degree in cell and molecular biology at SFSU. While putting herself through college, she earned an overall GPA of 3.93 and broke the all-time record for the highest score earned in one of the department's most rigorous courses.
