Kelli Elaine Stanley of San Francisco was named San Francisco State University's College of Humanities' hood recipient for the Class of 2000. She is pictured here with SFSU President Robert A. Corrigan immediately following S.F. State's commencement ceremony Saturday, May 27. Every year one of the top students from each college is chosen to represent the college onstage during the ceremony and to receive a special hood on behalf of all of the students graduating from that college. Stanley earned he r bachelor's degree in classics at SFSU, and maintained a 3.87 grade point average while juggling a schedule that included tutoring fellow students in a variety of subjects in addition to completing her own work for her double-major in classics and art. Stanley is already enrolled in the master's degree program at S.F. State in preparation for completing her doctorate in the classics and ultimately pursuing a teaching career.
