Su Yon-Rain Kim of San Francisco was named the hood recipient for San Francisco State University's College of Creative Arts for the Class of 2000. Here, she is pictured with SFSU President Robert A. Corrigan immediately following S.F. State's commencement ceremony Saturday, May 27. Every year one of the top students from each college is chosen to represent the college onstage during the ceremony and to receive a special hood on behalf of all of the students graduating from that college. Kim earned he r bachelor's degree in dance while maintaining a 3.8 grade point average at San Francisco State. She has performed in and choreographed a variety of cultural dance concerts. She intends to continue to work in the Bay Area, looking for professional performance and teaching opportunities. Her dream for the future is to travel to Korea for more study in Korean dance and culture.
