Top students chosen on behalf of over 6,500 fellow classmates to sit on Commencement stage and receive the symbolic investiture of the "hood."
WHAT: Rehearsal for SF State's 99th Commencement in Cox Stadium. A great chance to meet nine "hood" recipients who will be on stage to represent their fellow students from each of the University's Colleges.
WHEN: Friday afternoon, May 26, 3:30 p.m. -photo opportunity as students rehearse; 4:15 p.m. -students available for interviews.
WHO: The nine honors students chosen to represent their fellow students from each of SF State's academic colleges. Each hood recipient is not only an outstanding student but also a dynamic, diverse individual with a unique, often dramatic, story and an ambitious plan for the future. Most have done interesting work with local community programs. A few examples include: ·
WHERE: Cox Stadium, behind San Francisco State's gymnasium, on 19th avenue. Main campus is at 19th and Holloway. Please see attached map.
