San Francisco, CA--High school students and their parents can meet representatives from San Francisco State University and other colleges and universities from across the country during the San Francisco Area/Jefferson Union High School District College Fair on October 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Serramonte Center (Mall) in Daly City.
The fair, with its theme "A Family Affair," will feature representatives from the University of California, the California State University (CSU), community colleges, private/independent colleges and universities nationwide as well as the armed forces.
Students and parents can attend special workshops on how to apply to the California State University and the University of California systems and take part in informational workshops on community colleges and private/independent colleges.
"Students will be able to talk first hand with representatives from various colleges and universities," said Jeannette McClendon, a coordinator of the event.
The college fair sponsors include San Francisco State University’s Office of Student Outreach Services, the San Francisco Unified School District, the Jefferson Union High School District and the Serramonte Center. The fair is free. For more information about the college fair, call (415) 338-7168.
