Calling all San Francisco State University Alumni!

What was it Like to Attend SFSU in Years Past?

WHO: Anyone and everyone who ever attended SFSU. Notable alumni who already have contributed their "Living Memories" include: Annette Bening -- SFSU Class of 1980, B.A. in Theatre Arts; Willie L. Brown, Jr. -- Mayor of San Francisco, SFSU Class of 1955, B.A. Liberal Studies; and Kent Nagano -- Grammy award-winning conductor of the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra, M.A. in Music in 1976.

WHAT: As a part of its Centennial Celebration, San Francisco State University invites all alumni to share their "Living Memories" on the SFSU Web site. "Living Memories" provides an outlet for alumni of all ages to contribute their personal stories and experiences at SFSU and tell how San Francisco State impacted their lives. Tell us your story and contact old friends by completing a form on the "Living Memories" Web page.

WHY: "Living Memories" also is a place to explore what other alumni have shared about their own history at SFSU and the incredible impact that the University has had over the past 100 years. SFSU has a rich and cultural history and has launched the careers thousands of successful artists, scientists, politicians and business people.

WHERE: To participate in SFSU's "Living Memories" experience go to http://www.sfsu.edu/~100years/history/memories/memories.htm. Alumni memories are categorized by the decade in which they attended. Visitors can click on a decade for real life stories by San Francisco State alumni who attended during that decade.

SFSU is a highly diverse community of 27,000 students and 3,000 faculty and staff. It is one of the largest campuses of the nationally recognized 23-campus California State University system. Founded in 1899, the University celebrates its centennial throughout 1999 with a series of on-and-off-campus events, most of which are free, educational, fun and open to the public.
