Energy has been restored at San Francisco State University

SAN FRANCISCO--12:30 P.M.-- Energy has been restored to the San Francisco State University campus at 19th Ave. and Holloway, San Francisco. The campus is open and classes will be held throughout the day and evening, according to Thomas LaBelle, San Francisco State University provost.

Energy was not lost during the day at the University's Downtown Center or Romberg Tiburon Center.

Because of the electrical outage, it is anticipated that it will take a few hours Tuesday afternoon to bring the campus back to normal operations, including computers, Touchtone Registration, and to re-heat the buildings. These and other campus conditions are being addressed, La Belle said.

"I appreciate the patience and effort made by students, staff, and faculty in dealing with the power outage," LaBelle said. He concluded his statement by wishing the campus community the best as fall semester classes ended and students begin to prepare for final exams week.
