SFSU Public Affairs Press ReleasePublished by the Public Affairs Office at San Francisco State University, Diag Center.
Officials from the San Francisco City and County Department of Elections will be at San Francisco State University tomorrow to demonstrate how to use new election machines to cast ballots in this November's election, as part of an administration-led push to register student voters. In addition, SFSU student organizations will have tables set up with voter registration cards.
These events are part of a campus-wide effort to register student voters and get out the vote, led by SFSU President Robert Corrigan. On Oct.9 and 10, the final days to register to vote in the November election, there will be similar events on campus. SFSU has also set up a voter registration Web site (http://www.sfsu.edu/vote) that links from the University home page.
