SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 25, 2000 - High school students and their parents can meet with representatives from colleges and universities from across the country during The San Francisco Area/Jefferson Union High School District College Fair on October 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Serramonte Center (Mall) in Daly City.
At the "Family Affair College Fair", students and parents will be able to talk to college representatives on how to apply to the California State University and the University of California systems, community colleges and private/independent colleges.
"Student will be able to talk first hand with representatives from various colleges and universities and military personnel and find out about college/career opportunities," said Jeannette McClendon, associate director of the Office of Student Outreach Services at S.F. State and a coordinator of the event.
Event sponsors include San Francisco State University's Office of Student Outreach Services, Jefferson Union High School District, San Francisco Unified High School District and Serramonte Center.
Bilingual speakers of Spanish and Cantonese/Mandarin will also be available. For more information, please call (415) 338-7168.
